THE BEGINNING
CLC was founded by a former licensed and professional tour guide, who had led myriad of different nationalities from far away lands of Europe and neighboring countries of Asia to many exotic spots here in the Philippines. He is no other but the fabulous ANTONIO NG , a Bicolano, native of Daet, Camarines Norte. After graduating his high school in Daet Chung Hua High School, he came to Manila to find his fortune.CLC was established in the year 1987 just after the unprecedented People's Power that change the course of the Philippine history. It was originally started in the fourth floor of BPI Condominium Building, Plaza Cervantes, Binondo, Manila. Just a stone's throw away from Chinatown. That is why it is called Chinatown Language Center . Later on, it was transferred to Pasay City, on the third floor of Mayson Building, just beside the LRT station in the corner of Taft Avenue and Epefanio De los Santos Avenue (EDSA).Then after several years to Caloocan City on Rizal Avenue Extenstion near 8th Avenue, just in front of Mercury Drug Store. And at present, as you know we are in Cubao, Quezon City. This year marked our eighth- year in Cubao and the 17th-year of our school anniversary. In this long years our school has trained thousands of students mostly successful and at present living abroad with a decent and luxurious life style.
It has been always the object of this school ever since its establishment: Primarily to impart to the students maximum language knowledge so that they will develop self-confident to express their own ideas independently. Secondarily to develop personal character in order to behave themselves properly in their dealing with people, here and abroad. In other words, we teach and train not only languages but also the cultural aspect.
For the benefit of the students, we furnish modern equipments, enormous facilities, and a large quantity of language books and dictionaries in our library to cope up with rapid advancement of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. Needless to say, all classrooms are air-conditioned. Furthermore, we have five units of modern computers ready to use anytime.
Being a language institution, our teachers are language specialists and we purely offer the world major languages such as JAPANESE, CHINESE, GERMAN, FRENCH, ITALIAN, SPANISH, ENGLISH, and FLIPINO. Besides teaching languages, we also translate the above-mentioned languages to English and vice versa.
Our academy is located just few steps away from Araneta Shopping Center, the heart of bustling Cubao, Quezon City. For that reason, we are reachable by any kind of land transportations. Our school's vicinity has a wide parking area and it is FREE for the students anytime. Besides that, the place is so quiet that it is very suitable for language learning.
We are proud to say that our flexible time and date as well as the frequency and duration of time are unique because we can adjust them to suit each individual need of students. Of course,we always recommend the best time or date and duration of time for our students, irrespective of tutorial or class type.
We maintain that the bigger the class, the more distructive it becomes and less time for oral exercises. In order to prevent such unwanted condition we are limiting our students to a maximum of five students per class without increasing the tuition. Unlike other schools, students are jampacked in a classroom of 20 or 30 students. Such situation is not recommendable in language learning.
With regards to tuition, there is no doubt that ours is the LOWEST in the entire Metro Manila, considering the quality, facilities, and equipments we provide for the students. One more thing, while other schools are increasing their tuition every year exurbitantly, ours had been freezed since five years ago which is very favorable to students particularly to the lower income bracket. Moreover, while other schools are charging high tuition with miscellaneous fee and some hidden charges unnecesarily, our school is offering flat rate. This means a lot of savings for our beloved students.
Depending upon the language, our school offers FREE lessons in "HOW TO READ, WRITE, & SPEAK" method with FREE computer lessons as well as FREE hands-out; not to mention the computerized test papers that we give out freely. However, the tape with books for basic learners are exceptional case because they are optional.
